Dr. Theekshana Fernando started his career as a medical doctor, before making a move into public health, after identifying several needs that weren't being addressed for underserved communities. He is currently getting his Doctorate in Public Health from The University at Albany, where he also works on the Oral Health Workforce. Dr. Fernando has picked up painting in his free time as a form of escapism, and is partnering with Shelby Rider for team "Art Rx", as they are both firm believers in art being both a conceptual diagnosis for the hardships of this world-and often the cure!
