During my role as Design Director at Vertical Apparel, I attended many sourcing shows and visited an assortment of fabric studios throughout the city. As a small team, we did not have a fabric department, so I worked directly with the mills to develop what we needed. I often reworked a lot of yarn dyes for one of our customers by creating CAD art of either existing patterns, or developing my own designs!
